Lee was a loving husband and avid family man. He recently said “I am so proud of my family”. Family, to Lee, went beyond blood alone. He was a foster parent, foreign exchange host parent, mentor, teacher, and coach. Lee loved helping others, was a lifelong volunteer and was generous to a fault. He started numerous youth programs for under-privileged kids. Lee was an enthusiastic outdoorsman. His love for nature ranged from watching “his birds” to gardening, hunting and fishing. He loved to be outside, working in his yard, sitting in a tree stand, or being in his boat, especially when these times included a loved one. Above all, Lee had a firm belief in our LORD. He strived to live his life being a firm Christian. As said by Pastor Cox “He’s a good example of what a Christian gentleman should be in love and service of God and the church.”
