Loretta was my great Aunt, and she was an inspiration to me. My father, Victor Stalowy was Loretta's nephew, son of her sister Valaria. I feel blessed that I got to know my great Aunt through many phone conversations and finally face to face, in Fort Lauderdale several years ago. Loretta and I shared a passion for geneology, and we exchanged research and photos. I'm sure anyone who knew her must have thought what I thought: she was one touch cookie, and a very intelligent woman who never stopped learning or caring about her family. Rest in peace, our sweet angel.

I am Edward W. Wilson's wife. Loretta was a wonderful woman. I met her for the first time in 2007. My husband was incorrect in his post when he said that we last saw Loretta in 2007. We actually spent our 9th wedding anniversary visiting Loretta in beautiful Chetek in 2015. During our trip to visit her in 2007, she was kind enough to give me one of her paintings of a beautiful winter scene. That painting has had a special place in our living room ever since. We will miss Loretta greatly.

Loretta was my grandmother. My middle name is taken from her late husband, Wallace. I have, well, memories my whole life of her up in Chetek, and a little bit in Chicago. She was a wonderful person. The last time my wife and I were able to go see her (we live far away in Reno, Nevada) was back in 2007. I miss her very much.

Loretta was very much taken with my wife: when we drove up to Chetek, Ann and I had only been married 18 months, but Loretta just found her fascinating.

My mother, Patricia Daley Wilson, is alive, but living in an assisted care facility outside of Phoenix. I believe the last time she saw Loretta was a year or so ago.

Loretta, I said a prayer for you--you will always be in my memory.

Love, Eddie

We would like to express our Deepest Sympathy to Loretta's family and friends. We met Loretta when my father (Stanley Holewinski) retired to Chetek, and we were greeted with open arms, love, kindness and wonderful moments. These memories of a woman who in herself was amazing will live on in our hearts as she is now at peace. She was a special person and certainly through the years became a special friend. We will honor her memory with a prayer as she will always be with us in love and thought.
With Deepest Sympathy.
