Among her many other endearing qualities, Joyce served as a surrogate mother and grandmother to many students, as well as to some of us fellow teachers. She was a true blessing in many lives, including mine.

I want to send my prayers and sympathies to Joyce's entire family. Joyce and I started teaching at Brookwood in Genoa City in 1969 and soon became good friends. She was a very loving and caring woman and will be truly missed. I got to know Ed and all five of her children over the years. They were blessed to have her.

Mrs Grever was a wonderful teacher. She was definitely one of my absolute favorites. I also admired her work in girl scouts and became a leader in Genoa City. She will be missed and fondly remembered.

I had the pleasure to get to know Joyce through my work with the Girl Scouts. When I first met her, I was a little apprehensive of her, but I soon learned that she had a heart of gold and was one of the most dedicated volunteers I had ever met. Joyce and her sidekick, Donna, soon became like family to me. I knew when Joyce volunteered to do something, she would always follow through. I didn't have to check up on her. Her love for Girl Scouting, the outdoors, and the girls was something I admired in her. Although I am no longer in the area, I have many pictures and memories of working with Joyce. Make new friends but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold. Joyce will always be in my book of memories...starting out as a new friend but ending as one of gold. To the Grever Family, may you find comfort in the fact that Joyce touched the hearts of so many people. Sending my thoughts and prayers to you.
