Tom Kolstad
Regional Funeral Director
Tom is a licensed funeral director in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Tom is a licensed holder of the National Funeral Directors Board and a member of the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association.
Tom attended college in Superior, Wisconsin, and then graduated from the Milwaukee Area Mortuary College in 1988 with a degree in Mortuary Science. His original roots are from Superior, Wisconsin, and his wife's from Marshfield, Wisconsin.
For over 30 years, Tom has served the Centuria, Luck, Frederic, and Chetek communities as the owner and operator of Kolstad Family Funeral Homes and is now proud to extend his service to families throughout Burnett County.

Courtney Miller
Licensed Apprentice Funeral Director
Courtney Miller is grounded in a deep commitment to service. She brings a unique blend of criminal justice, forensic psychology, and funeral service experience to her work supporting families through life’s most difficult moments.
She earned her Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice Studies from Northwood Technical College and her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration with a concentration in Forensic Psychology from Columbia Southern University, building a strong foundation in understanding people, crisis response, and compassionate care.
In April 2026, Courtney received her Funeral Director Apprenticeship License, a milestone that affirmed her calling to walk alongside families with empathy and steadiness during times of loss. This fall, she will continue her professional education in Funeral Services at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) to further strengthen her skills and deepen the care she provides.
She states the heart of her work is a genuine passion for helping families feel supported, understood, and cared for. She strives to offer comfort, clarity, and respect to every family she serves, honoring their loved ones with dignity and compassion.
