We became friends quickly at CHS. Had a lot of fun times. After graduation he worked at Farm & Fleet in Janesville, I worked at the Chevrolet plant there. We got a place in Beloit with other Chetek and surrounding area guys. Between us we paid $650.00/mo but it included utilities plus additional perks. One being the "Blue Room" a fully stocked bar in the basement. Rock county was 21 for beer so if we wanted to go out we had to travel to Jefferson County. With that really cool basement bar we didn't have to go anywhere. I remember the time we all went to Ft. Atkinson to an 18 year old beer bar. When Russ saw they had Walters beer he was so excited. I thought he would do a double back flip. What a wonderful dear friend, can't wrap my mind around him being gone. I will always remember him with a smile.

I am so sad to hear this and my deepest sympathy goes out to the Larson family. Although my memories of Russ are from many, many years ago, he and the whole family have always had a special place in my heart. I'm certain he was met with open arms by Bud and Maddy. My prayers to John and Bill as you work through your loss.
