Darlene & Jim welcomed Jeffrey, Abby and I to the campground as permanents in 1994 and we stayed there until 1998 when we bought property in Chetek. My fondest memory of her was Abby's first year of college...she left in August to play Volleyball and got injured. She called the campground to get ahold of us, crying on the phone to Darlene...she immediately came to our campsite to get us so we could call our daughter to find out what we needed to do. Luckily her injury wasn't to serious so the trainer was able to get her checked out and with some rest she would be ok. Darlene checked with us every day to make sure our Abby was ok! Her Mom skills took over! We were so thankful for her care and concern. We loved her Heidi too. We also had a Shitzu named "Jitzu". Such a sweet, wonderful lady who definitely left a mark in our hearts! Thank you for letting us be a part if your life!
