Steven "Bubba" Scott Cole

Steven “Bubba” Cole, 36, of Chetek passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 25, 2021.  He was born on February 9, 1984 in Barron, Wisconsin. 

As a child Bubba traveled with his parents on many trips throughout this great country seeing and experiencing the beauties of the United States while his parents were earning their living as over the road truck drivers.

Bubba graduated from New Auburn High School in 2002.  He worked with his father for many years on the pipeline in many different parts of the country.  He was currently employed at Automated Building Components in Chetek.

He loved to ride Harley Davidson Motorcycles, snowmobiles and dirt bikes.  He had a particular great skill of wrecking many of them.  He enjoyed rifle and bow hunting, fishing but most of all he loved to spend time with his children.

He leaves to celebrate his memory; wife, Holly, his three beloved children: Maleah Faith, Natalie Joyce and Lyberty Linnae, step-daughter, Shyloh Grace, his parents, Dale “Butch” and Denise Cole and Linnae and Jim Cox, sister and brother-in-law, Heide and Derek Waterhouse, step-sister, Zoe McGary, 3 nieces and 1 nephew: McKayla Tyler, Jasmine Berning, Brayton Berning and Niyah Waterhouse,  1 great-niece, Berklee Tyler, grandmother, Ruth Ann Lund and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dale and Darlene Cole, maternal grandfather, Walter Eisner and his nephew-in-law, Brett Tyler.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00P.M. at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek and then again at Chetek Lutheran Church on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until 12 Noon.  At 12 Noon a private family funeral service will be held. 

Masks or facial coverings will be mandatory to enter for visitation at the funeral home and the church.  Please practice the social distancing guidelines as laid out by the CDC.

He will be laid to rest at a later date.  Pallbearers will be Ryan Davis, Jesse Davis, Kevin Davis, Landon Cole, Adam Taft and Mitch Nelson.
