Terrence “Terry” Roman Marc, age 71, of Chetek, Wisconsin, passed away from cancer on December 11, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Terry was born on October 19, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, to Roman and Wanda (Przechszta) Marc. He graduated from Western Illinois University in 1975. On October 15, 1977, he married the love of his life, Cecilia (DeBartolo), in Chicago. Shortly after their marriage, Terry and Cecilia moved from Chicago to northwestern Wisconsin, eventually settling in Chetek in 1979, where they made their home for more than four decades.

Terry worked as an agricultural lender for 45 years, spending the majority of his career at Compeer Financial (formerly AgStar Financial). He retired in 2017, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and building lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

Above all, Terry was devoted to his family and friends. He treasured time spent golfing, fishing, rolling dice with his buddies, and sharing jokes and stories, often accompanied by his infectious laughter that brought smiles to everyone around him. He was also a mentor to many, generously sharing his steady message of kindness, perseverance, and integrity.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Cecilia; his children, Laura (Brian) Johanson, Katie (Ben) King, and David (Kirsti) Marc; and his nine grandchildren, Travis, Alyssa, Ephram, Orion, Luella, Nova, Allison, Madeline, and Austin. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Lynn (Larry) Chyba; his nephews, Steven (Emily) Chyba, Matthew Chyba, Marc (Tessa) Chyba; niece Erin (Tom) Christie; and many cherished cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Wanda Marc, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held on January 2, 2026, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek, Wisconsin, followed by a service at 11:30 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Chetek.

Terry was a man of faith who knew his final resting place was in heaven. We find comfort in knowing he will continue to watch over those he loved so deeply. He will be forever missed.
