Sandra Lee Solum

Sandra Lee Solum, 68 years old, of Chetek, Wisconsin, passed peacefully at home on June 17, 2025.

Sandra was born on December 29, 1956, in Beloit, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter N. Schlink and Beverly J (Sly) Schlink, sister, Connie Tankersby, and brother, Peter A. Schlink.

Sandra married Edward Lance Solum III on May 10th, 1975. They spent 50 years together on the family homestead farming and raising 6 children. 

Sandra enjoyed making pies for family members' birthdays. She loved watching soap operas, game shows, and The Voice. She liked Elvis Presley. Her guilty pleasure was scratching off lottery tickets. She won all the time. 

Sandra is survived by her husband, Edward Lance Solum III of Chetek, WI, one sister, Cecilia Walls of Janesville, WI, 6 children, Edward Peter Solum IV of Cameron, WI, Tamra (Charles LaRue) of Chetek, WI, Kimberly (Tommy Sztuba) of Chetek, WI, Lynette (Steve Posta) of Rice Lake, WI, Kitty Krueger (Ryan) of Eau Claire, WI, and Tyrrell Solum (Amanda) of Chetek, WI. 8 grandchildren, Zackary, Kyler, Chandler, Skyler, Pazely, Jaxton, Bailey, and Briella, and 2 step-grandchildren, Misti and Chaela LaRue. 2 sister-in-laws, Treva A. Solum of Chetek, WI, and Betty N. Hazen of Menomonie, WI.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 26, at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek, WI, at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Sandra will be laid to rest at the Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek following the service.
