Margaret E. Marsh, 98 yrs. old, of Freeport, Illinois passed away at the Freeport Rehab & Health Center on March 5, 2014. She was born in Janesville, WI on May 3, 1915, the daughter of Roy & Eva (Drafahl) Howland. Margaret graduated from Barron High School, and married Lajoie A. Marsh on Nov. 10, 1937; in Chetek WI. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Chetek, WI.
Margaret is survived by her daughters: Joyce A. (William) Penticoff of Freeport, IL, Marilyn K. (Gordon) Slifer of Chester, VA, her sons: Gary A. (Roxanne) Marsh of Cary, NC, Gregory L. (Keli) Marsh of Cary, NC, brother: Edward R. Howland of Duluth, MN, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded by her husband Lajoie.
Services will be at 11 am on Mon. March 10, 2014 at the Faith Baptist Church in Chetek, WI; visitation will be at 10 am. Rev. Bruce Schmidt will be officiating; interment will be at the Sumner Cemetery in the spring. A memorial has been established for Camp Chetek, Chetek, WI.
