Joseph Antonio Garcia III, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Dove Health Care West in Eau Claire.

Joseph was born on June 17, 1946, in Jacksonville, Florida. Joe graduated from the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine, Florida, then worked at Uniroyal Company and the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.  Joe was a loved member of the Deaf Church at West Ridge Church, Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Luella Mae Horton, and his father, Joseph Antonio Garcia Jr.

Joseph is lovingly survived by his brother, Charles (Anne) Garcia; nephew, Chad (Rhonnie) Garcia.

The funeral service for Joseph will be held at the West Ridge Church, 3906 Kane Road, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:00 am.  There will be a visitation beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service.  Please join the family for lunch and fellowship following the service.  He will be laid to rest at the Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek at 2:30 p.m. the day of the funeral
