Frances Aileen (Massey) Sayles

Frances Sayles, age 82, loving mother of three, and wife to Dean Sayles, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday the 4th of December 2023. At her request, there will be no service.

Frances was born March 9th, 1941 in Pineville Kentucky, a true coal miner’s daughter, to Bertha Gray Smith Massey and Hal Massey.

She grew up in Appalachia surrounded by a large family, she had 11 brothers and sisters all proceeding her in death but one Everett Massey. She was a loving and caring woman and always put others before herself.  She loved her family, baking with her granddaughter Madysen, and fixing her special Frances toast for all of her grandchildren. Her legacy resides in each of them and their memories of her.

Frances is survived by her Husband Dean, 3 sons Ricky, Jamie, and Jay, 2 Daughter in Laws Karen and Kelly, 8 grandchildren Bradley, Timmy, Hannah, MacKenzie, Madysen, Mikelle, Chloe, and Oliver, and 6 great-grandchildren Harlan, Lida, Billy, Iris, Theodore, and Isla.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with arrangements.
