Billie Ann Linkletter

July 23, 1942 — December 28, 2025

Chetek, Wisconsin

Billie Ann Linkletter, age 83, passed away on December 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at home in Chetek, Wisconsin.

Billie was born to Howard and Vivian (Cheney) Williams on July 23, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Billie was a talented seamstress and quilter. She lovingly sewed many of the clothes her daughters wore while growing up and went on to create countless quilts, each made with care, patience, and pride. Her creativity later found new outlets through watercolor painting and photography, hobbies she greatly enjoyed in her later years.

She also had a strong love for the outdoors. Billie enjoyed sailing and fly fishing, and her skill was evident when she once caught a prize-winning fish in a local contest, earning a $500 award.

Above all, Billie treasured time spent with her family. Her warmth, creativity, and gentle strength will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Vivian Williams.

Billie is survived by her husband, Merle Linkletter, and daughters, Jill (Steve) Grehn and Susan Linkletter, as well as step-children, and many other loving family and close friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2026.
