Betty Jane Pansar, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully from natural causes on August 23, 2025, at the age of 94, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.
Born on July 15, 1931, in Wisconsin, to Mary and Jerry Toufar, Betty lived a full life that touched the hearts of many.
She dedicated her professional years as a secretary while she was living in Rockford, Illinois.
Betty shared a loving marriage with her husband, Ray Pansar. Together, they created cherished memories in Rockford, where they enjoyed dining out and exploring flea markets and garage sales. Her passions for crosswords and embroidery showcased her creative spirit. In 2015, she moved to the Chetek/Rice Lake area, which allowed her to embrace the natural beauty of Wisconsin while being near family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray, and her brothers Marvin and Lawrence Toufar.
Betty is lovingly remembered by her sister, Joyce Wintrone, as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose lives she touched.
A Funeral Service to honor Betty's life will be held at the Burnham-Ours Funeral Home on August 28, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Prior to the service, a Visitation will take place at the same location beginning at 5:00 PM. As we gather to celebrate Betty's remarkable life, we invite all who knew and loved her to join in remembrance and reflection. Interment will take place the following day, on Friday, August 29, at 10:00 AM at the Lakeview Cemetery.
