Beth Anne Olson, 79, of Onalaska, Wisconsin, passed away on December 9, 2025, at Bay Harbor Assisted Living of La Crescent, Minnesota.
Beth was born to William and Norma Burdham in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, on July 25, 1946.
Beth grew up in Chetek, Wisconsin, and was involved in cheerleading, band, and lifeguarding in high school. It was there that she met the love of her life and husband of 58 years, Bernard “Bud” Olson. They married on October 7, 1967.
Beth went on to attend the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire for her degree in nursing as a registered nurse. Her profession reached its apex in 1980 when she accepted the position of Director of Nursing at Bethany St. Joseph of La Crosse, Wisconsin, a position she held until her retirement in 2004. She was highly regarded in the La Crosse area medical community.
Beth enjoyed her role as a caregiver, wife, and mother. She enjoyed various kinds of puzzles and had a deep love for music, singing until her last days.
Beth is survived by her husband Bernard; her son Shawn (Dana Peterson); grandson Shay; sisters Sue Neun (Don), Mary Huset (Brad), and Tami Graves (Greg); and brother Bill (Carol), along with a multitude of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Norma Burdham; sister-in-law, Nan Hechtler; and niece, Hailey Hechtler.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Bay Harbor Assisted Living, St. Croix Hospice Care, and Robin Rice for their empathetic care and guidance.
A Funeral Service for Beth will be held on December 19, 2025, at Chetek United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held from noon until the beginning of the service.
The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
