My (great) Uncle Sherman was a jovial man. My most vivid memories of him are from care-free summers spent at Lake Helen camping, boating, and best of all, playing countless games of Pinochle. While my Grandpa Vernon always reminded us that the game of Pinochle was "serious business", which had its own merits, Sherman took a less serious approach, one which encouraged more joking and laughing in the completion of the game. This made things more fun for us kids in general. In his memory, I will take away that it is important not to take everything too seriously and to have some fun while we're here in this blessing called life. RIP Uncle Sherman.

We enjoyed Pastor Sherm so very much. We always looked forward to the times he filled in for our Pastor. Dave and I also enjoyed the time you both came to our house for lunch and my uncle Bob (Stamstad) joined us. Such fond memories. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

My heart goes out to the Iverson family but at the same time I am filled with joy and am blessed to have known such a great man and his family. I am proud to have been his first confirmation class in Prescott and a good family friend. God gave us all an inspiration in Pastor Iverson.

So sad to hear of Sherm's passing. Our condolences to Evelyn and his great kids. Being dear friends of Kara's and having the privilege of being of being able to claim him as "Dad" as many of us kids did was awesome! He was always ther for advice and good laugh and always a pep talk on the wrestling bus! Know that he was very loved! Blessings and prayers.

I am saddened to learn of Pastor Sherm's passing. I worked in the office at Our Savior's when he served there. He would light up a room with joy whenever he entered! I loved talking with him and listening to his stories and jokes. He was a very dear man of God. I especially remember Sherm wearing his Norwegian sweaters. My sympathies to Evelyn and Sherm's family.

Our sympathy to the Iverson Family. We were happy to share the neighborhood with a nice Christian Family, for the years you spent on the corner of Walnut and Tower Road. Always felt the neighborhood was a safe and wonderful place for children to grow up in. Thanks for your presence.

My condolences to Evelyn and family. So many memories that bring a smile to my face of my father-in-law, Gordon Benson, and Sherm. They were surely quite a pair. The memory that has stayed with me all these years is when Gordon was in his final days and Sherm came to visit at the Tomahawk Hospital. Gordon was non-responsive and Sherm was going on and on about how he will miss Gordon after he was gone. He was getting choked up and then all of the sudden we heard Gordon's voice, "Sherm I'm not dead yet." You should have seen the look on Sherm's face!
I am so sorry I will not be able to attend the service. My prayers of comfort to you all.

A wonderful man, thoughts and prayers to the Iverson family. I will never forget my confirmation pre-questions night with my parents and him, so many years ago at Grace in Tomahawk; Pastor grilled me with what seemed 50 questions from the religious workings of the Bible. After nailing each and every one, he astonishingly looked at me, as if to try and still stump me, and asked, "who is lucifer?" I politely responded, with my parents in the room, and answered, " my mom's cat!" I thought he would die laughing on the spot! R.I.P. Pastor! You were a true inspiration in my life. Thank You!

My deepest sympathy to Evelyn and family! Such wonderful memories in years past. My prayers are with you all for our Lord to surround you with His love and comfort, crying with you as you grieve and miss Sherm, and rejoicing with you, know he is now with all the saints in heaven.
I suspect I can hear the laughter of Sherm and my Dad warming up the don't get mad board game and waiting impatiently for their opponents to hurry up and join them.
