Doris Ann (Rudolph) Schlosser, age 82, died on February 17, 2017, at Dove Healthcare-West, Eau Claire, WI. She was born in Springfield, IL, March 18, 1934, to Earl S. and Anna M. (Albert) Rudolph, Sr.

Doris attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1952.  She married Fred J. Schlosser, Jr. in 1955. After the birth of their first child in 1957, Doris became a stay-at-home mom, raising eight children and coordinating multiple family moves to follow Fred's career.

Doris and Fred moved to Chetek, WI when they purchased Kingfisher Resort in 1985.  They ran the resort until 1993, when they moved to Cameron, WI.  Following Fred's death in 1999, Doris moved back to Chetek where she lived until moving to Dove Healthcare-West in Eau Claire, WI, in 2016.

Doris belonged to a number of church organizations over the years, both in Illinois and Wisconsin.  She was a member of the Volunteer Auxiliary at Lakeview Medical Center and also worked as a hospice volunteer.  She enjoyed bowling, playing bridge, crocheting, reading mysteries, listening to the music of Michael Crawford, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Doris is survived by eight children: David (Jill) Schlosser of Springfield, IL;  Mark (Sharon) Schlosser of Oak Park, IL;  Tom Schlosser of Altoona, WI, Larry (Wendy) Schlosser of Two Rivers, WI, Susan (John) Sheahan of Champaign, IL; Elizabeth Schlosser of Bloomington, IL, Philip Schlosser of Eau Claire, WI; and Sarah (David) Furst of Eau Claire, WI.  She is also survived by one brother, Earl (Ann) Rudolph of Decatur, IL;  10 grandchildren  Dara Schlosser of Peoria, IL; David Schlosser, Jr. of Springfield, IL;  Joelle Schlosser, of Rushville, IL;  Lawren (Jeremy) Lange of Madison, WI; Zac (Andrea) Schlosser of Thornbury, Australia; Heather, Rick, and Erin Sheahan of Champaign, IL; Lucas and Levi Furst of Eau Claire, WI; three great-grandchildren, Christopher and Lily Lange of Madison, WI, and Zara Schlosser of Thornbury, Australia; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, her parents Earl and Ann Rudolph, and a son, Christopher Schlosser.

Visitation will be held at Burnham-Ours- Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek, WI, on Monday, February 20, from 5:00-7:00 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Katherine Drexel Parish (formerly Sacred Heart) in Springfield, IL on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.  Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the Mass. A lunch and fellowship will follow the Mass.  Doris will be buried with Fred at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL
