Adeline Tadel Obituary

Adeline Tadel was born on July 17, 1916 the daughter of Michael Walczak and Wladislava Jaworski – Walczak on their farm in rural Chetek WI.

She met Edward Tadel and they were married on August 30, 1940. They celebrated 59 beautiful years together. Adeline was the loving mother of Ronald (The late Anita) (Patrice) and Sandra (Keith Adams). Adeline nurtured her children, worked as a homemaker, and was an employee at several companies in the Chicago area. When retired in 1978 they returned to Adeline’s birthplace Chetek, WI. They enjoyed sharing their lives with family, friends and parishioners of St. Boniface Parish. Adeline was an exquisite cook and baker of many treats for all who visited and those who were stationed overseas. She also enjoyed her garden with flowers, vegetables, and birdsong in the green trees that harkened to past days on the farm. She met Eddy at a dance club in Chicago and they polkaed, waltzed and square danced for 60 years together. She always wore her sunny farm girl smile and if something went array it was “we’ll see”.

Adeline passed away peacefully under the care of VITAS Hospice and the attentive staff at Franciscan Village Mother Theresa Home in Lemont, Illinois on

January 3, 2020 aged 103.

She is survived by her two children; Ronald and Sandra, one brother Stanley (Selma) Walczak; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, fond aunt of many nieces and nephews that helped in her later years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Waldislava Walczak,

her beloved husband Edward, brother Witolt  (Helen) Walczak and sisters Regina (Martin) Oldenberg and Elokoda “Betty” (Matt) Nowicki.
