Olena "Peggy" (Hanson) White

Olena S. “Peggy” White 97, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chetek.  She was born April 7, 1920 to Oscar and Olga (Wintrone) Hanson in Dallas, WI.  Her father died before Peggy’s birth.  She had one brother Lawrence Hanson.  Her mother married Melvin Severude and together they had 3 children; Hilda, Edwin and Alice.

Peggy married Richard E. Davis.  They had 2 sons; Zean and Boydean (Boyd).  Richard passed away June 25, 1954, Peggy and her sons moved to Chetek where she lived until her death.  In the 1960’s, Peggy married M.D. “Doc” White.  They were married until his death in 1991.

Peggy is survived by her son Boyd (Judith), Daughter-in-law, Lorraine Davis, Sister, Alice Severs, Grandchildren, Lynn Davis, Martin (Carrie) Davis, Jennifer (Jeremy) Petty, Brent (Araceli) Davis, Jason (Roxie) Davis, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special niece, Betty Bilderback who has been there for Peggy and Boyd.

A graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. at New Scandinavia Cemetery Friday, July 7, 2017 with Pastor Heather Kistner officiating.  Please join the family for a luncheon and continued fellowship following the service in the church fellowship hall.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
