Deloris Irene Shaurette

Deloris I. Shaurette, age 90 of Chetek passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Atrium Care Center.  She was born July 10, 1926 in Chetek the daughter of Irene (Koenig) and Nicholas Czerwonka.

Deloris attended and graduated from Chetek High School in 1944.  Deloris was a lifelong member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.  Upon graduating she worked as a waitress until she married Basil Shaurette April 15, 1947 at St. Boniface Catholic Church.  Deloris was an excellent homemaker and dedicated mother to their 4 children.  After the children were raised, she worked at the Chetek High School as a cook until her retirement.  Basil and Deloris enjoyed traveling and hosting holidays at their home.

Deloris is survived by her children; Linda (Lonnie) Mikkelson of Chetek, Raymond (Marilynn) Shaurette of Barronett, Ken (Jackie) Shaurette of Chetek, Mary Shaurette of Chetek, 2 grandchildren; Aaron (Kimmy) Shaurette of Portage, Keshia (Doug) Kruchten of Chetek, 3 great grandchildren; Mercedies and Jameson Kruchten, Dekker Shaurette, 2 brothers; James (Ardie) Czerwonka of Chetek, Norman (Shirley) Czerwonka of Redmond, Oregon.  Also survived by other nieces, nephews and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Basil.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 P.M. Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Father Bala Policetty officiating.  Family and friends may gather for a visitation one hour prior to the Mass.  Interment will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.  Please join the family for a luncheon and continued fellowship back at the church.
